Passages of the book I can repeat even now which is I think the test of good writing. On rereading it Naomi Barry’s prose stands the test of time - unlike so many memories. Thank you for researching her life- she deserves more fame!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12080437823104368378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8778626287556834261.post-42081376635257065232019-11-01T08:36:00.133-07:002019-11-01T08:36:00.133-07:00Hello,

It takes something so ordinary as what we in the UK call a "jacket potato", and turns it into something quite spectacular. I once had a gourmet lobster jacket potato at Mark Hix in London, but this looks so much better.
*kisses* HAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8778626287556834261.post-9716775155875022262013-11-29T05:28:15.682-08:002013-11-29T05:28:15.682-08:00I have never heard of her either..and I wonder how...I have never heard of her either..and I wonder how I missed that book of Ruth Reichl..I love her books..
Your potato/egg creation is perfectly gilded !
You are a marvelous food writer..In fact I think a cooking magazine should feature your posts..
Would be nice to cozy in a comfy chair and read!La Table De Nanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04358539954508050792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8778626287556834261.post-61534055808518795352013-11-28T14:00:51.680-08:002013-11-28T14:00:51.680-08:00What a beautiful tribute to both Dumaine and Barry...What a beautiful tribute to both Dumaine and Barry! Loved it and if I had baking potato, I'd be giving serious thought to making it ASAP, Thanksgiving or not.
Have a happy Thanksgiving, Deana.
